What a renewable eSIM plan means

Renewable means you can extend the same plan instead of buying a brand new package from scratch. It is useful when your trip gets longer or when you run low on data but want to stay on the same line.

Why renewable plans are useful

• Better for repeat travelers who use the same destination often.

Renewable does not always mean unlimited

Renewable and unlimited are different features. A renewable plan lets you extend or repurchase coverage. An unlimited plan describes the data model. Some plans are renewable but capped, and some unlimited plans still have fair-usage or reduced-speed rules after a threshold.

What to check before relying on renewal

• Whether renewal extends validity immediately or after expiry.
• If the same countries and operators stay available after renewal.
• Whether you keep the same eSIM profile or receive a new one.
• If renewal is available from the app, email, or a self-service portal.
